I purchased the Gray Handbag - the Handle tore 2 months after using it. Totally surprised since it was double thick. Wish the warranty would have been longer to return.

I have purchased many things from Sam and Kate including a regular priced travel size satchel with a shoulder strap in Watermelon and one of their signature wallets in green. I have never had an odor problem nor a quality control issue. I hope that the very few items on their site does not reflect whether they will be returning. All companies have issues with some products, especially when they are made to another company's specs in mass numbers. Very often this is where the problem begins and ends. If you take a chance on a lesser item at a lesser price then you risk the chance that there may be some sort of issue. This obviously did NOT happen in all cases. So please do NOT form an opinion of Sam and Kate by a SHOWSTOPPER item as what they are capable of bringing to the table. I would always recommend their products to everyone, but cautiously always have a good and thorough look through your purchase before deciding on whether to keep it or not. My bag in Grey was just fine and without odor. Perhaps just certain die lots were the issue? Any bodies guess.....

I purchased this purse and did not use it until fall. The handles cracked a little over a month of using it. Because it was over 30 days nothing was done. Poor quality and no customer service from vendor.

I love this bag - I have it in the bright red. It's everything it was supposed to be. I did not have a strange smell - it just smells like a leather bag to me. Great value for the price!

I have it in grey, and I like it except I find it's a little smaller than I thought, and also I think it's odd to have goldtone hardware on a grey bag. You'd think they would have gone with silver--some of the details are silver and some are gold. Also, the back of the crossbody strap is a jute fabric instead of leather--kind of a cheapy way to finish it. I guess it's just me being picky! But I do like it though and I am using it, the leather otherwise is good quality and I am happy with the color as well as the privacy pocket inside.

Like this bag very much, the colour is great for the winter, I got it to wear with grey or black and I also have in grey the Orange Blockbuster the sweater so with grey pants and nice scarf in grey & red colours, I will also be ready for Fall! Quite pleased

I bought this bag in chocolate brown. I had previously bought a shoulder bag in grey when Sam and Kate first came to TSC. I was very disappointed in it, (after a month the zipper broke), and I was skeptical. When I got my bag I was VERY pleasantly surprised!! The color is great, unlike others who said their handles were stiff mine was not, and the only odor I encountered was the smell of LEATHER!! LOVE this bag, and will use it for the fall/winter season!

Waited for a long time for a "simple" tote bag and thought this would be it...Not..There was a certain unpleasant odour from the bag. The mustard yellow was an ugly yellow. The Python trim makes the bag look cheap. There were some tiny needle holes in the leather. I would rather not have the side buckles on the bag. Keep it simple. Sent it back and wasted my shipping fee.

I Purchased this bag in Grey.....More than i expected love this bag.Not sure why some are saying it smells but mine smells fine. Would and will purchase another handbag from the Sam & Kate Collection. Fine it very spacious also.

As soon as I opened the product the smell was so overwhelming I had to put the purse in the garage overnight. I returned the product the next day and was told there is no refund on the shipping. I feel on principle this is unfair as the product was not as it should be. I googled the vendor and found this is not the first review about an odour problem.
