Love these cards!
from Oro Medonte
The end result is worth the effort! Yes, they're labour intensive but you can be proud of your work and your friends and family will love to receive your cards, and isn't that what it's all about? I've been to card-making classes and these are no more work than the cards I've made in those classes. If you want simple and quick then don't buy this kit but if you want to make beautiful quality cards this is definitely the way to go.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The cards are nice but they are time consuming to make. If you really enjoy card making I suggest you buy this kit but if you want something simple and easy to use I would suggest you stay away from this kit.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The background image sheets of the Traditional Christmas book are not precut, so you have to cut them yourself. Most of them are straight cuts, but for the scroll paper designs it could be very time consuming. The cardstocks are the same color inside and out. So for the darker colors you need to add a piece of white paper inside if you want anyone to be able to read what you wrote for them. The precut pieces are not embossed and they suggest you shape it yourself. Both the background image sheets and the precut ones are very thin, which make the final result look unprofessional. The foil stickers are not the best quality ones and they smudge all over your design when trying to put the cards in or take them out of the envelopes. The precut pieces have little leftovers from their backing paper which you might want to carefully cut out and remove or they would ruin the beauty of the card.Overall I think this product is only good for young kids who are interested in making handmade cards to get them started. But even for that purpose, I think this is a bit expensive for what is offered. I would certainly not recommend this to adults who want to send sophisticated cards after spending so much time making them. There are cheaper, prettier, and better quality cards out there. Do also note that this is not shipped from TSC, so if you want to return it you have to call them and print the return label.
