Sterling Silver Rolling Circle Pendant with Leather Cord

I got it today and am not impressed with the quality. I obtained a trade diploma in jewellery making about 5 years ago and during the 1.5 year course, I had spent countless hours making silver wire and soldering silver so I know what the metal is like to work with. There are 21 rings to this pendant and for EVERY SINGLE ring, I can see the solder mark. Literally, not one ring is seamless. The joint areas are a bit crooked so it looks like the worker left the torch on the joint for a second too long (where the wire was starting to melt), and some rings' solder are a bit squared off too where the worker only polished flat the solder but didn't take the time to finish it by rounding off the area leaving a flat spot on a round wire. I'll just have to round it off myself (very fine sandpaper wrapped around a flat stick then finish with a polishing cloth). A part of me was expecting the piece to be a bit imperfect judging from the picture and from the matching 21-ring rolling ring, but I didn't think all 21 rings would be like this.
I'd say it's not even worth the $C sale price but I'm 90% set on keeping it since I don't have access to the tools needed to make myself one now and that there's only a handful left so the price won't get any lower and I might get a worse one with an exchange. I do like the simple design and lovely, versatile leather cord. I'd say this looks like it should be $30 tops.
My 2-star rating is based on the price/quality ratio. If I had bought this at $30 total, then I'd give this 4 stars. The leather cord is excellent though! I love it! The clasp is large enough to easily open and it looks pretty sturdily attached. The cord is the best part about this piece. The set looks nice when the cord is double around the neck too.

I absolutely love this line they have a lot of unique pieces,....this is the third piece I've purchased. This necklace is beautiful, the silver rings have great shine to them and are a good weight but not heavy,..the leather cord is strong and is the perfect length!
This necklace makes all my ordinary tunics look stunning....I luv wearing this piece with my skinny jeans or leggings and a tunic, it adds that little something to my outfit! Love it! Can't wait for TSC to bring some more Silver Expressions!!
