Trillion Garnet Ring
By Admirer of Attention to Detail
Unfortunately, since my previous review, I have come to the definitive conclusion that I cannot keep this ring. So sad because the garnet itself is so beautiful. In my previous review, I wasn't certain which of the negative elements mentioned was bothering me most, however, my husband identified the problem immediately upon viewing the ring: it's the fact that this ring has half the amount of silver that it ought to have to support such a large stone, in addition to the fact that the silverwork on the thin band is unworthy of the otherwise beautiful gallery and diminishes the beauty this ring. Maybe someone who would just be happy to have this size of garnet will be pleased with my decision to return it, but I have decided I can't justify keeping it at this price point when I know I would be unhappy wearing it and regret that it wasn't finished properly every time I looked at it. The band almost seems like a bad afterthought to keep the price down and looks like it was made for another piece and stuck on at the last minute, instead of being thought out as part of the overall design concept. Indeed, it doesn't seem to belong to this ring at all in terms of theme or structure.
I was very excited to have a Mozambique garnet, but I have to say I am still on the fence on this one. I can't decide if it's the not-so-lovely, rather cheap looking band which somehow clashes with the zircons and detracts from any wow factor the ring might otherwise have considering the beauty of the garnet and the lovely side and undergallery work, or if it's the perhaps inadequate, rather thin and disproportionate setting of the tiny zircons surrounding such a large stone, or if it's the mere 3 unsubstantial looking prongs holding such a large stone. Something is off and I can't quite put my finger on it, but it doesn't look as exciting in person as it should and doesn't sit comfortably on the finger either and moves out of place. The stone is beautiful, but I am not sure about the overall quality of this ring. This is my first purchase from this line. Maybe it's just not for me. I will have to think about it a little more considering the price point and the fact that one reviewer has already lost a stone and the other is not completely sure about the ring either. I am anxious to hear other people's opinions before making a final decision on whether to keep this or not.

Beautiful but sad news
The Amethyst stone is stunning...zircons are nice and bright...but the sad news is one fell out from the bottom corner already had it for 3 days....really want to keep it.....but....not sure how/who could fix it....none left...maybe I will wait and see if anyone returns their's and give it one more try....:0(( purchase at your own risk I guess....I gave it a 4 because it is so beautiful, but really disappointed the zircon fell out you can really notice it gone...did not see when it happened...but did not come that way...wish shopping channel would fix it.....

Garnet Trillion ring
from Medicine Hat, Alberta
I gave this ring a 3 star rating because the garnet was so dark in color that I could only see flashes of red in really bright lighting. I have never seen a garnet of this size (over 9 carats) and am on the fence as to whether or not I will keep it.
