Before starting Skinn Cosmetics, I worked for twenty years with the largest cosmetic houses in the world. I found myself constantly frustrated with the way they did business. Unfortunately, the big cosmetic companies never seem to care about making quality products that actually help the consumer. Their "formula" was always the same: make a cheap product, put it in a fancy jar with a nice box and charge as much as possible. After learning that I was never going to change how those big companies do business from within, I realized I needed to change the nature of the very industry in which they operate.
When I launched Skinn in 2002 the question most asked was "How are you going to do it Dimitri? How are you going to give us more products, better products, and keep them at a comparable price?" The answer was really quite simple. After working at the highest levels of the big cosmetics houses, I learned that the money they spend does not go into the product. In fact, it seems to go everywhere but the product: ad campaigns, department store counter space, Park Avenue offices, and, most of all, packaging. Believe it or not, most companies spend more money on the container and fancy boxes than on the product that's inside. I used to sit in meetings in those Park Avenue offices to talk about how to improve the company's products. Those meetings always seem to end the same: "Let's change the packaging." Upgrading the product was always deemed too costly as it would require re-educating the consumer about what constitutes a quality product. In essence the secret would be out that water does not have to be the first ingredient in every product.
Skinn offers its products only through televised home shopping, the internet and exclusive, privately owned spas throughout North America. This has allowed us to reach the maximum amount of people, while keeping overhead very low. We don't have expensive retail shops or New York office suites; you won't see costly magazine or prime time TV ads. What we do have are some of the finest cosmetics ever made. You'll see the difference!

I've had this cleansing brush for about as long as it's been at The Shopping Channel and I love it. It's so nice to see a product that's a reasonable cost (especially the brush heads), and that does the job! Thanks for having a product that does what is says and doesn't cost a fortune for brush heads. This one is a keeper. Of course I love all of Dimitri's product line. He's very knowledgeable and it's a pleasure when he visits. I learn a lot and look forward to the next time he comes!

I use this about once a week. I use it one my face, body and feet. Works great. The movement, even on the feet, does not tickle as other device do. I very much like it.Just make sure to put it in the charger the correct direction so it is charged whenever you want to use it.I have had my machine for over a year and the one brush I am using is still in great shape. The device does state not to press hard on your skin, and this is evident in that fact that the head is still in great shape. There is not a single bristle that is bent out of shape.My old device came with five different heads, for different applications, like putting on lotion. It would be nice if this device also offered other types of heads other than the different type of "cleaning" heads. A massaging head would also be great. You could then use it on your head and on your feet when they are sore.Love it. I have used a device like this for over 25 years. This one is in a class of its own.
Great product; works well!
I've had my cleanser for about 1 1/2 years now. I use it at least twice daily, and have had no problems with the unit. I have to admit, I only use it on my face, so I don't know what the longevity of the charge is if you would try to cover your whole body, but for what I wanted it for I'm very pleased with it's performance.

Worst Item Ever!!!!!

I only used it half a dozen times and it stopped working. I was very disappointed in the quality of the product. I couldn't return the item as I threw the Return Information away thinking that I would have no problems with it because TSC has never disappointed me before with the quality of their products. I guess never say never.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I,ve had the Skinn SkinnSonic for about two years now. It works great. Cleans my face wonderfully. I,ve had no problems with this machine at all. Just wanted to mention because of the previous review.

It is a waste of money!!!!!!!

I was so excited when my SkinnSonic Ultra Cleansing System arrived. I used it maybe 4 times and then it stopped working properly. I have it charging all of the time so one would think that it should be able to cleanse your whole face and neck before it stopped working. Well this unit didn't even clean half of my face and it would shut off. Great disappointment don't waste your money.
