In 1885 there were two different styles of the number 5 used for the 5 cent silver. The first was from the 1875H strike and the second was a larger one for 1885. This coin is an About Uncirculated high grade example of the Large 5 variety of Canada's 1885 five cent silver. The coin has been independently graded and certified as AU-53 by PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service), the world's largest and most respected independent coin certification company. Coins certified by PCGS come encapsulated in a tamper proof hard acrylic protective holder which provides an attractive display and archival quality protection for the coin. This is a "one only item". The photograph is of the exact item you will receive.
