This 1951 silver dollar is in superb choice to gem uncirculated condition with original toning. It is one of the highest quality examples to have survived from this issue.
The classic reverse design depicts a native Canadian and a Voyageur fur trader travelling in a canoe past a small island with windswept trees. The vertical lines in the background represent the northern lights. The obverse bears the uncrowned effigy of King George VI.
