This is a comprehensive collection of 48 bank notes issued from Pre-confederation to 1954, including many scarce and rare issues. The collection includes six Pre-confederation bank notes dated from the 1830s to 1860s, in denominations of 50 Cents, $1, $2, $3, $4 and $5; ten different Dominion of Canada notes dating from 1870 to 1923; two different 1935 bank notes; the complete series of notes from $1 to $100 for the issues of 1937, 1954 Devil's Face, and 1954 Modified; plus three different scarce 1954 asterisk replacement notes. Six different early Canadian chartered bank cheques are also included, with the two oldest dating from the 1860s and 1870s. Including the cheques, this is a 54 piece collection.
The oldest notes in the collection range from well circulated to extremely fine condition, while the newest notes in the collection are in higher grades up to uncirculated. All of the notes are highly collectible, with no tears or other damage. The 48 bank notes plus six cheques come presented
in a high quality custom album.
