This is a 1954 $100 bank note in pristine perfect uncirculated condition, with the signatures at the bottom showing Beattie as the deputy governor of the Bank of Canada and Coyne as the governor. While banknotes are normally dated the year the design is introduced, the signatures on the notes change each time there is a change in the Deputy Governor or Governor of the Bank of Canada. Most advanced collectors of Canadian banknotes seek to complete a collection with all of the signatures
Quite often, certain signatures are much scarcer and more valuable than others. This is the oldest and scarcest signature combinations for the 1954 modified $100 note issue. The note comes protected in a professional bank note display holder.
