This is a complete original mint box of Canada's last one cent coins struck at the Royal Canadian Mint, containing 50 mint rolls of brilliant uncirculated 2012 copper plated steel one cent coins plus a bonus $20 Pure Silver Coin - "Farewell to the Penny".

After a 154 year history, Canada's one cent coin was officially discontinued on May 4, 2012. While 2012 mintage figures will not be released until the spring of 2013, these coins are nearly impossible to find in change, reminiscent of the rare 1991 quarter (which now sells for about $500 per roll). These coins are expected to be the lowest mintage in many decades.

To make this issue even more interesting, two distinctly different types of coins were produced during the short production run. The first coins were produced using magnetic copper plated multiply steel blanks, while coins produced after this first run were struck using non-magnetic copper plated zinc blanks. While both varieties appear to be scarce, the copper plated steel coins appear to be the most difficult to obtain.
Original mint boxes include standard shrink wrap rolls (without any special wrap).

Bonus:
$20 "Farewell to the Penny" Pure Silver Coin  (sold out at mint)
This design pays tribute to the penny, a coin that will never be struck again. It features a maple leaf twig that has fallen into a pool of water. Each coin is encapsulated, then inserted in a clear vinyl pouch and presented in its own certificate booklet.

Received I package today and the $20.00 coin was not included.I phoned customer service and they told me the only way was to sent the entire package back as an exchange and see if the coin would be sent out the second time around. It stated on the show that the coin was included. It also states in the video on the website it is included.
