Leather Bound Titanic Commemorative Collector Coin, Stamp and Stock Certificate Set

2012 marks the 100th anniversary of the fateful maiden voyage of the Titanic, which struck an iceberg and sank on April 15, 1912. To mark this anniversary, the Royal Canadian Mint and Canada Post jointly produced a beautiful leather-bound and embossed collectible folio that tells the story of the tragedy from a Canadian perspective. Inside, the collection includes an authentic White Star stock certificate (the company that owned the Titanic), circa early 1900s in a protective mount, all five stamps from Canada Post's Titanic's 100th Anniversary issue, two sold out Royal Canadian Mint Titanic coins, a special re-created Titanic cancel, and three Titanic postcards. The coins are a 25 cent coloured coin that bears two images of the fated ship, and a coloured 50-cent coin depicting the Titanic as it neared the iceberg.  

This item sold out quickly at the Royal Canadian Mint and Canada Post and is extremely difficult to find in the secondary market.

Silver Plated Coloured 50 Cent Coin
This coin features the view of the bow's port (left) side of the colossal vessel as it nears the iceberg.
 
Coloured 25 Cent Coin
This coin features the Titanic with a night scene on the top and a day scene as it departs on the bottom.
 
Stock Certificate
This certificate was issued by the International Mercantile Marine, shipping trust that controlled the White Star Line, builders of the RMS Titanic. Each certificate is uniquely numbered, with different values, and many were originally issued to investors of the early 20th century.
