This collection includes two highly sought after coin sets from the year 2000. In 2000, the Royal Canadian Mint produced a premium quality presentation for proof-like coins called the "Tiny Treasures" set. These sets include all seven coins from the cent to the $2 coin in near perfect condition. These sets are sought after today in part because there were no regular polar bear $2 coins, $1 or 25¢ coins issued for circulation.
One of these sets is also highly sought after for another reason. While most coins issued for collectors are produced in Ottawa with no mint mark, some of the sets in 2000 were produced at the Winnipeg branch of the Mint. These coins are designated with a "W" mint mark. This collection includes one 2000 Set produced in Ottawa with no mint mark, and one set produced in Winnipeg with a “W” mint mark on each coin. “W” mint mark coins were never produced for circulation and can only be obtained from this type of special collector set.
Total Mintage: 82,964 - for both the “W” mint mark (struck in Winnipeg) and the no mint mark set (struck in Ottawa)
