This coin is an extremely rare superb Very Choice Uncirculated example of Canada's 1903 plain (no "H") variety ten cent. In 1903, most Canadian 10 cent coins were stuck at the Heaton Mint in England, and include a small "H" mint mark on the date side below the maple wreath. However, a small quantity of 1903 dimes were also struck at the Royal Mint without any mint mark, and these coin are referred to as "1903 plain". The plain 1903 10 cent is much rarer than the "H" variety, and it is a scarce collectible today in high grade uncirculated condition. This coin has been independently graded and certified as MS-64 by PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service), the world's largest and most respected independent coin certification company. Coins certified by PCGS come encapsulated in a tamper proof hard arcylic protective holder which provides an attractive display and archival quality protection for the coin. This coin is tied as one of the top three finest graded coins of this date and variety by PCGS, making this an exceptional investment quality coin. This is a "one only item".
