1926 is the second lowest mintage nickel ever issued in Canada, and the vast majority of surviving nickels from this era are found only in well-worn circulated condition. This is a scarce high grade coin that has survived for 88 years (as of 2014) in very close to original uncirculated condition. This coin is the "Near 6" variety, with the "6" in the date positioned close to the maple leaf above and to the right of it.
The coin has been independently graded and certified as being in Choice About Uncirculated "AU-55" condition by PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service), the world's largest and most respected independent coin certification company.
