I bought this coin as a gift for my son. Very well presented in a red case. Coin itself is impressive. After reading the other reviews I didn't notice any cloudy areas at all. Beautiful shine.

If I caould have given it 4 and a half stars I would have. It IS a little small, and it would have been nice to get a full oz of silver for the money. But the design is absolutely beautiful. The revers proofing on St.George is a little on the dark side, but in my opinion it doesn't detract from the coins overall appearance. It is a nice little acknowledgement to our monetary history that my family and I can enjoy.

I too agree with the other review of the cloudy aura-- it's actually the etching in the background do the image. At certain angles the image isn't as crisp and the "cloudy aura" detracts from the prominent image of St. George. I gave it as a gift and it was well received and the presentation was very impressive. It really was overpriced in relation to the price of silver in the market but my purpose for the purchase was more of a sentimental nature vs. investment.

Less than 1 oz of silver. Too expensive. Didn't like the cloudy aura around the knight and dragon. This one must have been the display coin he was handling because it had 3 dark marks on the ribbing of the coin where oils from fingers had been touching the coin. These coins as well as the show have really lost their appeal because of excessive cost and questionable claims made on the show.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
