This is a complete original mint box of Canada's last one cent coins struck at the Royal Canadian Mint, date stamped on the very last day of issue May 4th, 2012. This original mint box contains 50 mint rolls of brilliant uncirculated 2012 copper plated zinc one cent coins.

After a 154 year history, Canada's one cent coin was officially discontinued on May 4, 2012. While 2012 mintage figures will not be released until the spring of 2013, these coins are nearly impossible to find in change, reminiscent of the rare 1991 quarter (which now sells for about $500 per roll). These coins are expected to be the lowest mintage in many decades.

Original mint boxes include standard shrink wrap rolls (without any special wrap).

• Copper plated zinc
• Date stamped

• Scarce 2012 1¢ Original Mint Box Date Stamped on Last Day of Issue (2,500 Coins Total)

Something Missing

By Rick

from Montreal,Quebec

Sent back because the date stamp was not complete. It should be stamped 05/04/12.But the 05 is missing from the date stamp that the RCM should have on it.For this reason I sent it back because there is no way to know for sure wheather it is truly the last production run.I was disappointed when I noticed the 05 was missing. If not for that I would have kept it and given it a 5

Canadas Last Penny

By BRIAN

from NORTH YORK

I decided to order a box of 50 rolls of the last penny for investment purposes. I will put it away for years and see what happens. I expect it to increase in value very rapidly. They only made so many boxes, and I will not open the box up. I ordered both the zinc and the steel version so I have one case of 50 rolls of each.
