This "Olympic Glory" collection includes seven different coin sets issued by the Royal Canadian Mint to celebrate Canadian sport and pay tribute to Canada's Olympic athletes. The collection includes the "Going for Gold" presentation issued in 2002, featuring a unique dollar coin and celebrating Canada's Men's and Women's Olympic gold medal wins. It also includes a 14 piece Vancouver Olympic coin set, three different Olympic Mascot hockey pucks with coloured 50 cent coins, and two different 50 cent Olympic Mascot coin cards.

"Going for the Gold"
Just before the 2002 Winter Olympic Games began, a Canadian loon dollar was buried at centre ice of the Salt Lake City hockey arena for luck for the Canadian teams. Both the men's and women's teams went on to bring home gold, and the loon dollar became a symbol of luck for Canadian achievement. Although no loon dollars were issued for circulation in 2002, the Royal Canadian Mint issued a special collector edition of this famous loon dollar. The coin has a unique design with a second loon dollar in the background, and a double date 1987 / 2002. The coin has a double struck frosted cameo finish, and is plated with 22 karat gold. Mintage is only 25,000 pieces. Each set is individually numbered with a certificate of authenticity.

High Quality Maple Leaf Embossed Presentation includes:
• Proof gold plated special issue loon dollar, mintage only 25,000 pieces
• Corner block of four commemorative stamps featuring four Olympic events
• A set of two Olympic editions of Maclean's magazine (English and French)

2010 Vancouver City Collector Coin Presentation

It includes twelve Vancouver 2010 quarter circulation sport coins plus two circulation Lucky Loonies issued between 2007 and 2009 set against a magnificent backdrop capturing the essence of Vancouver city.

Three Olympic Mascot Hockey Puck with Coloured 50¢ 2010 Coin
As part of the celebration of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, the Royal Canadian Mint issued a series of special edition half dollar coins featuring a coloured image of the Olympic mascots, set into an official NHL hockey puck. This collection includes THREE different mascot half dollar coins set in the collector puck presentations. Each Half Dollar coin is painted to showcase the Olympic mascots. The coins feature different sports poses of the Vancouver 2010 Mascots (Miga & Quatchi) and the Paralympic mascot (Sumi).
