Did you know that Superman is Canadian? In 1938, Superman was first co-created by Canadian Joe Shuster, together with Jerry Siegel. Metropolis was based on the city of Toronto, and the Daily Planet was based on the Toronto Daily Star. 75 years later the Royal Canadian Mint celebrates this anniversary with new Superman coins. Superman is represented in both his "Golden Age" appearance, as seen on the cover of Superman #1, and a modern homage to that classic cover. As an Official Licensee of DC Comics the Royal Canadian Mint has created this unique coin and commemorative packaging that also features a collectible.

This exceptional set features a Superman-themed coin by the Royal Canadian Mint and collectible stamp by Canada Post. The coin features a 2-image lenticular design, as Superman moves through the ages from his spectacular debut in 1938, to his modern day interpretation. The design also features Superman's native Kryptonian language which reads "75 Years of Superman" in English and French.

2013 Lenticular 50 Cent Coin & Stamp set

Stamp is nicely done in bright colors. I was a little disappointed by the slightly dull colors of the picture on the coin and for that reason this gets 4 stars.

2013 Lenticular 50 Cent Coin & Stamp Set

The Superman stamp and coin set are OK... I am a little disappointed with what the product (coin) looks like when shown on the website (TSC and RCM) and when you actually get the product in hand. Overall I give it an OK.

Another Great Collectible

What wonderful packaging - I bought 2 for the grandkids instead of Christmas toys - this is something they can save and when they are older they can decide if they want to sell. Money well worth it - quality of coin and colour of superman is the best!
