Le bois est recouvert d’un revêtement résineux à base de polymère de sécurité alimentaire, se conformant aux normes de la FDA. Suivant un effort de récupération écologique, ce bois sculpté provient des souches de sapin laissées derrière par les activités d’exploitation forestière. De plus, le fait de retirer ces souches favorise une repousse plus rapide des plants de semis visant à régénérer la forêt.
