The unit arrived in about 3 weeks with the Toshiba Bluray I ordered with it. Smooth sailing for about 6 months until the TV stopped working. One day there was no picture or sound just vertical lines. I contacted Shopping Channel and they referred me to Toshiba (who has a repair center here in Edmonton). Instead of honoring their "in home warranty" with a service call they required us to take pictures of the screen and forward to them for analysis. So far I think I bought a lemon with no support. Buyer beware.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

A long time waiting for nothing

I waited over a month for delivery and received a TV with a cracked screen. Finally after some confusion the TV was picked up a week later, but they did not have another one to replace it. I did get my money refunded. The really good deal I thought I was getting did not work out. I did purchase one from another establishment. I got $25.00 towards my next purchase. Not too sure if there is going to be one.I have no qualms about the product just the customer service.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Slowest delivery ever

From my experience - NOT SO GREAT A TV - First of all I was told it would be delivered in 5-7 business days. I ordered Nov 4th and never received until Dec 7th. I ordered online and before calling I checked status which indicated it was in the warehouse. After a week of waiting I checked online again only to see that it was still in the warehouse. When I called, Nov 13th, I was told the tv was coming from the US and would take longer than usual & was told to call back in a couple of days for a tracking # which I did but was told that they didn't have one yet. Again was told to call later for tracking #. Nov 29th I called and was told it was shipped on Nov 27th but tracking # will change so had to wait for new tracking # and if I haven't received by next week to call again. You would have thought that for as long as I had to wait they would have offered a gift card or taken some off the price but nothing was ever offered - disappointed. When I finally received the tv it was difficult to setup so I called cable provider because I couldn't get through to Toshiba support. I was told by cable provider to set it up using the HDMI cord. I did this but found with using HDMI cord to set up I was unable to use the tv features - closed caption disable, internet etc. Finally after calling Toshiba several times I was able to speak with someone. They asked for the model number and the serial number. When I gave them the s/n they said that nothing came up for that number when they entered it. They asked that I recheck to make sure the number I gave them was correct. I checked and the # I gave them was the # that was found on the back of tv. After being put on hold several times they could not find s/n in their system. They were able to help me set up tv using the component video input. After waiting so long for the tv and having trouble setting up the tv it is now cutting out - screen going black (no picture)and no sound. I have to press the volume button on the remote to get the picture and sound back but even then the picture and sound are only back for a few second then it's gone again and I have to press volume again which is frustrating. After a few times of doing this I just turn it off because it's just to frustrating to bother to try and watch anything. I called Toshiba & again when I gave them the s/n nothing came up. They were not able to tell me what the problem was so they gave me a phone number and the address of the nearest service Centre. After talking with Toshiba I also made a call to TSC and was told there is nothing they can do because I have gone past the 30 days.Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Great Tv - But BAD SHOPPING CHANNEL

Great Tv - but if you want it in your lifetime, DONT order from the Shopping Channel. I only got my television a month and a half later due to 20plus phone calls I made, and picked it up myself from some trucking office - so thanks for the "free shipping" shopping channel. Television had no contact information on it, so who knows when and if I would have received it. Shopping Channel offered 75.00 gift card, not even worth my time and gas, and not much more. I was told many customers received cracked televisions as they did not ensure that it was shipped properly. Lucky, mine doesnt show signs of damage yet. Next time I will go to the store buy it and have it handed to me in person rather than wait 1.5 months and have to get it myself anyway.

I live in toronto and i bought this in november 5th 2012 and got it December 14 i was very disappointed had to call and call no sign ....waited so long for this to arrive and last i called the shipping company and got a appointment for delivery .....and finally i have it...overall its okay and good every1 liked it in our home
Toshiba 3D led smart TV

Took a month to get here but were happy. It took a bit of setting up and the sound seems quieter than our last TV but the speakers are in the back and its in a cabinet, other than that, the shopping channel was good enough to phone and let us know that it was arriving soon and sorry for the wait. No dought they had alot of orders!Great TV, nice picture and color!!
We are streaming HD wireless to this unit with perfect results.The 3 D is excellent.Definitely the unit to buy.Good product.

Toshiba 1080 3D Smart TV

I too ordered the TV Nov 4, I just recieved it today (Dec 18) . I selected 5-7 day delivery time, this is the worst shipping service ever. For my troubles, I got $25.00 off?? I will never purchase via the SHopping channel again.
It took over a month for the TV to arrive. When I bought it on line it was supposed to ship in 5 days. It didnt ship for three weeks!It is a nice TV. had problems getting the WiFI to work. The screen does show a fair bit of glare if there are bright lights or bright daylight in the background. The pictures is so clear! My children complain that watching it is like watching home video. A bit jerky if objects are moving fast?
