The Four Cs of Diamonds
CUT: The cut is a diamond's most important characteristic. The way a diamond is cut affects how it handles light and has great influence on the diamond's overall sparkle. The closer to ideal proportions that a diamond is cut, the more light will reflect back to the eye, resulting in the fire and brilliance that make diamonds so beautiful and so popular. Shallow or deep cuts allow light to seep out of the bottom or escape out of the side.
COLOUR: Diamonds with absolutely no colour are extremely rare. Colour actually refers to a diamond's lack of colour with D being perfectly colourless. The subtle differences in colour among most gem-quality diamonds are due to traces of other elements that were present during the diamond’s formation millions of years ago. Diamonds are rated on a letter scale indicating the degree of yellowish tinge from D all the way to Z, which is markedly yellowy. E and F are colourless to the naked eye, and G, H and I will appear very nearly colourless, particularly in a gold setting. After cut, colour is generally considered the second most important characteristic when selecting a diamond.
While the fire of perfectly colourless diamonds will never go out of style, modern jewellers and jewellery lovers have discovered the incredible beauty of coloured diamonds in gorgeous shades of blue, green, pink, chocolate and even black, and may people prize yellow (or "canary") diamonds for their luminous colour.
CLARITY: Diamonds usually contain "inclusions", which are small markers of how the diamond formed deep within the earth. Very few diamonds are without inclusions, and such stones are termed "flawless." Inclusions do not necessarily affect beauty, but they do affect value. Many imperfections are microscopic and those with the least and smallest imperfections receive the highest clarity grades.

Labradorite & Diamond Ring
I love this ring. The labradorite is stunning. The different hues of blue and green are beautiful. The stone I received also had little lines as well, but I believe that those are the natural character of the chalcedony, and I found that the lines in my stone were not overwhelming, but in fact gave the stone depth. The stone has a luminosity, as if there is a light from within. I also love the shape of the stone, I find it very flattering on the hand. The diamonds add a little twinkle. Thank you Tracey, beautiful piece.

My ring was exquisite. I am a labradorite lover and my stone appears to be top quality. I found the ring fit a tad large so keep this in mind when choosing your size.

Labradorite and Diamond Ring
from Edmonton, Alberta
This ring fits larger than average. The stone is nice. The diamonds are dull, not worth having, filled with black spots. I would much rather had topaz or some other clear stone instead of diamond chips. I kept the ring because I am fond of Labradorite but this ring is not one I would order if I had seen it in person prior to purchasing.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I purchased the Labadorite and Diamond ring and I must say its a BIGGIE. I love large Rings, but this is not for a person with a small hand!!! The stone is breathtaking and has a lovely setting. The color also is fabulous!! Her Rings are top of the line as I have several and love them all.

Lovely but flawed
from London, ON
I had so much trouble getting this ring and when I finally did I received a dull, scratched stone. I am so very disappointed because of course it is not available in my size again.I'm not sure whether to take it to a jeweller to buff or if the stone is supposed to look like that - but I don't think so. It's as if a scratch pad was brushed across the top.I guess it wasn't meant to be. Lovely idea though.I would recommend giving it a try. Perhaps I was just one of the unlucky ones because it would truly be a gorgeous ring if not for the scratches.
Was so looking forward to this ring but did return it. A big black line was running through the middle and the stone felt rough on this line which then seemed more like a crack. The bracelet appeared the same to me therefore I am without these pieces....is this the way the stone is supposed to be????
