About Tramontina, USA
Tramontina is a privately owned corporation manufacturing in Brazil since May 1911, the USA since 2006 and Europe since 2001. The business is currently managed by third generation family members and employs its own internal design team. Across Brazil, Tramontina operates ten factories, manufacturing over 16000 products and exporting them to over 120 countries. To accommodate this high volume of products, the company invests in production technology, logistics and marketing which reflect the brand and production concepts.
Tramontina is proud of its very extensive product line which features cookware, flatware, knives, wood products, sinks and cooktops, garden and hand tools, indoor and outdoor furniture, as well as plastic furniture. The strength of the manufacturing range is the cookware, flatware and knives. All wood products such as cutting boards, knife handles, tool handles are made from wood harvested from Tramontina owned plantations involved in an active
re-forestation program. The GREEN SEAL has been awarded by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) for their green efforts. As of 2009 the wood cutting boards feature a Microban protection. Tramontina is approved ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
