Delight in the warm colouring of this sterling silver and yellow gold plated red ruby venetian cameo and citrine pendant with chain. Rich with meaning, the cameo depicts Terpsichore, called the "Delight of Dancing," who was one of the nine Muses, ruling over dance and the dramatic chorus. She lends her name to the word "Terpsichorean" which means "of, or relating to, dance". She usually is depicted holding a lyre, accompanying with her music the dancers choirs.
