I really like these shoes
I have to wear Orthaheel shoes or else my knees will give me trouble. However, I have very wide feet and TSC doesn't carry wide shoes. I decided to take a chance with these shoes and I am glad I did. They fit well and I get compliments on them.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I Have To Say This

I did not purchase these shoes. I would have gladly ordered the black if they had leather straps and not the tacky elastic whatever things across them. This is as unappealing, to me anyway, as the vendors who put out gorgeous leather purses with tacky nylon crossbody straps. Perfect match.I would have preferred to give it no stars but the system is not programmed to allow no response.Sorry Orthaheel. My partner and I each have several pairs of Orthaheel, in fact we're waiting for you to bring back the men's walking shoes. To see such a cool shoe done this way was very very disappointing.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Almost a Fit
I am thrilled to see Orthaheel and Dr. Weil starting to move into more fashion shoes. When they crack this market, there will be no looking back. I love patent shoes and boots and decided to give these a try. I find that Dr. Weil is a slightly different fit, usually a little larger and wider in the heel. I am a 7.5M. With Orthaheel usually having to go down to a 7. Even though these shoes came in half sizes, I had too much space and my heel would slide up. I liked the design of the shoe, but in my opinion it did not look attractive on the foot unless you were in a nude nylon, or barefoot due to the elastics being so dominant in the front. I tried it with an opaque black tight with a skirt, then a slim leg pant, and did not care for the look at all. With a wider leg pant it was better. But the shoe did not fit me so they were returned.
