Wayne Clark Python Embossed Serpent Leather Classic Day Bag

I purchased this bag in the natural shade. It looked so pretty online. However, it is not well made for a bag of this price ( even on sale). The lining had a large stain on it and the interior back wall zipper was broken. Also, the hardware was scratched. So disappointing. I tried again by ordering the larger version of this bag in the ostrich embossed leather. Sadly, it was an even bigger disappointment. It, too, went back the same day.

I did read the reviews before I bought this bag in the natural color -- I thought I would take a chance on it at the great sales price. After taking a close look at this bag in person I decided to return it because I tend to be hard on my handbags and I am not sure that the leather will stand up to daily use.

The leather isn't drum dyed but the colors looks painted on and with the purposeful cuts in the leather so that it resembles snake skin scales, I have doubts about how well this finish would wear over time.

The inside of the bag is nicely done, the lining fabric is quality, but one of the cell phone pockets is a bit snug for an iphone.

I would recommend this bag on clearance with the caveat that you have to be careful with it to keep the leather in tip top shape.

You're trying to tell me this is genuine leather? It totally feels like plastic. The handles are stained with what looks like black ink and the python print on the bag itself looks like it was cut in to the plastic ("leather") and is flaking off in some places. The wrapping that this bag came in was virtually destroyed so I'm thinking I got an item which had been returned from someone else.

Truthfully, I couldn't even get this bag open because the key for the padlock was trapped inside its "leather" tab and wouldn't come out no matter how much I pulled.

I expected A LOT more from both TSC and Wayne Clark.

I was looking forward to receiving this handbag but it has to go back. As I opened the package I knew I received an item returned by another customer; I've purchased Wayne Clark products before and he obviously takes pride in the way he presents his products. The dust bag was loose, no tie, packaging torn and no usual card from Wayne. This is a fashionable bag, it has an unusual closure (which I presume a card would explain) and the python pattern is sort of cut into the leather which causes some of the "cuts" to look like tears in the leather. I cannot see myself using the security closure as one has to open the lock, flip over the flap(s) making sure they fit properly then lock the padlock again. The style is high end and timeless; I may reorder --- maybe.

This handbag is beautiful. I ordered it in the "white". Great bag particularly for the fall season with the beiges, greys and black however is still a neutral enough bag to use throughout the year. Good investment piece.

I ordered both of the bags from Wayne Clarke's collection since I could not decide whitch one I like more. I just received the bags and both of them are absolutely stunning. They are so designer inspired (H) and timeless, classic bags that you can use for years to come. Both of the are absolutely amazing. Oreder one or two handbags from the collection, you will not regret it. The bags are realy beatifull. I love them both.Since the bags are quite expensive, use the easy pay option while shopping. That's what I did.
Amazing style and quality and you will NOT see these bags everywhere. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my bags.
