Wesley Badanjak - Biography
Wesley Badanjak is one of Canada's rising fashion stars, with his label, LOVAS Wesley Badanjak, gracing the pages of FLARE, Fashion Magazine, and ELLE Canada, along with other notable national and international publications. The intelligent, modern and exceptionally wearable designs for LOVAS Wesley Badanjak are available across Canada at fine women's boutiques.
Badanjak's designs are inspired by his great loves of music, literature, culture and his own upbringing as a son of Croatian immigrants in Canada. The contemporary looks vary season to season but are always rooted in classic sportswear with burst of colour, unexpected prints and feminine detailing. He has been able to dress many notable women, including Dine Pugliese of Breakfast Television, Sitara Hewitt ofLittle Mosque on the Prairie, Elain (Lainey) Lui from eTalk, Ann-Marie Mediwake of the CBC and Tré Armstrong of SYTYCD Canada.
Born in Toronto and raised in Mississauga, Canada, Badanjak graduated from York University with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, and from Ryerson University an Honour's Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design. In 2008, after winning numerous awards and working with various prestigious labels, he successfully launched LOVAS Wesley Badanjak to outstanding accolades.
