I received one of these from my father at Christmas. He bought one for each of us in the family. Putting it on is difficult. As someone else mentioned, the demo shows the guy standing basically on top of the vehicle so it is easy to open and place but realistically standing at the side of the vehicle the magnets stick to each other and bang on the windshield or hood. The shield does not fit the full windshield of my Equinox nor my father's Freestar. If it is attached at the top of the windshield it does not cover the trough where the ice tends to pile up at the bottom. If you pull it down to cover the bottom area the magnet does not reach the roof to attach. In the wind (and we have had it bad this year on the prairies) it does not stay on the vehicle. I have to tuck it into one door and then it barely reaches the other door. This can be fixed by adding some type of strap on to extend the width, but we shouldn't have to. The package says it will fit most trucks and suv's but I don't believe it. I had such high hopes for this item and was disappointed but didn't bother returning it.

I'm so glad that the magnashields were offered again this year. The company definitely improved the quality in comparison to the ones I purchased in the past. The material is more substantial and the stitching around the magnets is reinforced to help keep them in place. I have been so thankful when I go out in the morning and don't have to scrape my windshield. I find that tucking the bottom portion of the fabric under my windshield wiper helps to keep it anchored if it's windy.

Not fit to be packaged
from Nova Scotia
The Idea is Good. But this item is Garbage. Does not cover all the window of my SUV. When the wind blows the covers comes off. When it snows the whole cover falls down the window with the weight of the snow.Waste of money, time and packaging. The Shopping channel sould remove this item. I would how many other people are having the same problem but never bothered to return it?
Very disappointed with product. Comes off if windy. Perhaps if ties were added to anchor it down more would make the product more usable. Don't waste your money until they improve product.
problems in the wind

A great idea and I have wanted one for awhile. Unfortunately I agree with Sherry's review in that the least bit of wind blows it off. If you anchor in the door it holds better. I have kept mine and gave the other to a friend.

putting the cover on is great on the show's demo, but that guy is standing at the top of the windshield. In real life, you stand at the side of the car and throw it over the windshied, which the magnets hit the glass & broke the windshield. now my car is in the glass shop getting a new windshield
Good Xmas gift

This was a Xmas gift for my son and grandson.Good for keeping snow off windshield and will be good during the summer to keep the sun out
Magna Shield Windshield Car Cover
A good idea but frustrating to use. Right out of the box the magnets were sticking to each other and the cover was difficult to unfold. It just fit my smaller Ranger truck and again the magnets were sticking to the truck as I tried to stretch it across the windshield. When tucking the edges inside the truck the door wouldn't close properly as the magnets were getting trapped between the door and the frame. It takes some work to get it properly installed and if the wind is blowing forget it. For me the cover would be easier to use if it didn't have any magnets.

I have bought several of these for gifts and everyone really likes them. If you find that they don't stay in place just sew a piece of ribbon to ther ends and tie inside the car.
Very disappointing in wind.

Great idea but did not work. The wind blew it off or partly off. The windshield wipers held it on the bottom. Maybe it will be useful in the sunshine but I would not recommend this item to anyone.
