AWESOME Pressure Cooker Oven

I am so happy with my new oven. First 'pressure' cooked a 2 lb pork roast with potatoes and carrots, beautifully done in 35min. 2nd 'pressure' rotissered a small chicken, juicy and crispy skin in 40 min.
What makes this oven so great for me is my husband comes home from work various hrs and the time it takes to cook with this oven is the time he likes to sit and relax before eating. And also the time that's needed to prepare the added dishes. So no more dried out meat and meals that need to hit the microwave. Hot and Freshly cook is how we'll roll from now on.
For the people having problems with the oven sliding around when opening and closing, cork pads on the 4 corners works really well.

I am very disappointied with the rotessiere! I used it for a chicken and it stopped working halfway through the cooking the first time. The rest of the oven works fine. It is too expensive to ship out for repairs. I would not recommend this to a friend.

I agree with a previous reviewer that there is a slight learning curve with this oven. The instructions are not complete in that they don't tell you how many minutes per pound of meat. etc. That being said, if you are used to cooking with an ordinary oven, you won;t have any trouble at all cooking with this one and it will make your life so much easier. I cooked a whole 12 pound turkey in one hour just like Wolfgang on the show. I took it out of the fridge and let it warm up for twenty minutes. I rubbed the outside with olive oil and butter, salt and pepper. inside I added a dab of butter, salt, pepper, a fresh sprig of rosemary, and some lemon slices. Put it in the oven on pressure mode and an hour later had a beautiful, browned, juicy and tender turkey.Of course I let it rest lightly covered in foil for twenty minutes before carving, to keep in all those juices-- and it was really juicy and tender. I HIGHLY recommend this oven for anyone who loves to cook. Just use common sense and know that it will take you at least one third less time in pressure mode to cook something. I made a delicious shepherds pie too, with mounds of freshly mashed potatoes on top. Pie was delicious, moist and flavourful, while the mashed potatoes were a beautiful golden brown.I use my new oven every single day. Please do not be afraid of it girls because of some negative comments.I was a little apprehensive to start cooking with it but it works wonders and is so worth it once you know how.Begin by using it without the pressure mode if you like, then try the same recipe with pressure, using less time. The booklet does give you some guidelines.I could not imagine going back to the old way of cooking!!!!

The product is fair…..and I am now very angry……when cooking a roast on Sunday I noticed the white cabinet above was turning brown and I cannot get it off. Will have to pay a carpenter to remove the cabinet in order to have it painted. This oven is going back.

Nice Oven, need lots of head space

This is a nice oven. However, I don't know how big their test kitchen is but you need 4" of space above the top of the oven because there is a vent on top. My cupboards aren't 4" above oven, not many people's are. I tried doing French fries in the basket for all over even cooking it took about 40 minutes where it usually takes 20-25 in my toaster oven. The problem is it's so big it takes quite a while to heat up. But if you've got the head space and the patience it's great!

I bought my WP Pressure Oven when it was a showstopper and I just love it! First thing I cooked was a turkey (about 13 lbs.) and it was the juiciest turkey I've ever cooked. I was amazed when it cooked in an hour!! No problems at all with fitting it in the oven.

Cooking roasted vegetables in it is an absolute favourite of our's - they are soooooooo good! And sooooo easy.

I've also cooked a frenched roast of pork and that was incredible. Cooked it as a roast laying over top of more roasted veggies. Yum!

Something else that we love to do is throw some frozen hot dog wieners into the basket. Ten to fifteen minutes later, (which gives you time to set out the condiments, plates, etc) you have some great rotisseried hot dogs - just like we love them! (And that's using frozen hot dogs!)

Pros - I've used this more than my regular oven since I got it. Love the steam feature. Love how solid it feels when you have it sealed. Easy to clean. Love the stainless steel look. Love the basket and everything.

Cons - a roast I cooked on rotisserie turned out a bit dry but I think I left it in too long. I prefer cooking the roasts in the roasting pan. But that's probably my fault and not the oven.

Over all, I really do love this oven. Can't wait for Christmas when the relatives are all here to see their faces when I put the turkey in the oven an hour before dinner!

Very disappointed

I was very excited when received the oven and could not wait to try it!

I read all the instructions and then cooked (or tried to cook) chicken tights. Did the set up as described and left it 25 minutes in the oven on the pressure mode. The meet was far for cooked...I let it for another 25 minutes and, for my biggest disappointment, it was not cooked yet! Fifty minutes will take me to cook it in my traditional oven!

I will give it one more try and if not satisfied I will return it.

Useful Oven

Have waited awhile before writing a review as I wanted to have something intelligent to write about! Am finding that there is a slight learning curve to using this oven. I don't find the recipe book terribly useful - recipes are not categorized as they should be - desserts are mixed in with entrees. I agree with some of the other folks in that there should be some general guidelines - e.g. allow XX time for each pound of beef, poultry, pork. Cooked a small roast and it was a little overdone - I think it is better to undercook and then it can be be put back in the oven to cook some more if necessary. I cooked potatoes and onions with it and they were really good! I think I should have added a little water as some of the onions were a little blackish!! I looked at the recipes as a guide and tried to figure how much time per pound. I think it is trial and error to some extent as with any new appliance. Did a small pork roast and it was good. Find putting the pan into the hot oven a little challenging as the pan is a very tight fit!

Anyway, I like the oven and I also like the look of it. And am determined to make it work for me as it saves a lot of power, at least I hope it does - my husband says that it draws a lot of power. And I tripped the breaker b/c I had both the microwave and the oven on at the same time.

In summary, the oven is a very useful tool!!

Very Disappointed

I really wanted to love this product as much as Wolfs other products, but my first sirlon roast came out dry. I live in a small apartment and it wasn't long after my roast had been in the oven on pressure cook that my fire alarm was going off. I had to open windows at the end of Oct. to get air circulating in here. By the time my roast was cooked, my apartment was pretty cold. If I have to go through this everytime I cook something, it's not worth the money. By reading the other reviews, I feel this product does need tweeking. One purchaser said there's not enough information....true. My roast was 2.5pds and there is no information on that size. I also found my pressure valve to be very loose....I placed it on seal and half way through the cooking process, it had wiggled itself to vent. Not happy at all.

good oven

basically a very good oven....makes perfect toast. did a roast chicken with veggies; chicken was almost 'boiled' tasting (need to put it on a rack). luv luv luv roasted veggies. Beef roast/pork roast both needed a bit more cooking but tasty. I use it almost everyday; I do agree with others that it does have an 'old' look to it and dials could be better marked especially the timer (not accurate enough) gets extremely HOT on the top. and it slides around when pushing to open the door. I do pull it away from the wall but will need to get something to stop it from sliding back when in use.
overall I do like it...a bit pricey !
