Love my oven!
I love this oven! Made a 12 lb turkey in about one hour and it was perfectly done!I have also baked a large frozen chicken breast and it was completely cooked in about 35-40 minutes.Tonight I used the rotisserie for the first time and I was impressed. I made a small chicken with sweet and regular potatoes and it was finished in 45-50 minutes.For those that say it does not cook a turkey in the stated time I wonder if they have the pressure seal in the wrong place. I did that once and it did take longer. I make my toast in this oven and although some have complained it is hard to judge how long for toast, you just need to watch, it is not a big deal...I have also cooked pork loin with vegetables and that too takes about 40 minutes until fully cooked.I am hoping to find out where I can buy the rotisserie basket as I think that would be great to have.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Enjoying This New Oven

I've read the reviews regarding the temperature knob being too loose, and I'd agree, I have to be very careful if I open the oven to check my food, to make sure the temperature is still what I originally set--that knob is way too loose. And I haven't tried the rotisserie but clearly I need to do that, and soon! Thanks for the heads up!!! :) I've mainly used the pressure cooker setting, and LOVE it. I'm using my microwave much less. I still have my microwave but tend much more often to heat up my food in my new WP oven. Food is crispier and is just better. I also tried doing a scalloped potato recipe in both my regular oven and my WP oven, and the one I cooked in the pressure-cooker setting on my WP oven was MUCH better--it had a nicer, creamier sauce and the texture was much better. I'm loving it and look forward to doing some wheat-free baking--one of the main reasons I bought this oven. I previously owned another WP oven and enjoyed it, but this one is much better. I'd agree some tweaks are still needed, and I am hoping that Wolfgang Puck will sell that rotisserie basket that came with the oven in the US on TSC so we can buy it separately. I'd gladly buy it if he will bring it into Canada--please!!! :) So far, I'm glad I bought it. Hoping I'll love the wheat-free baking I plan to do with almond flour, I'll let you know. I cooked a 12 llb turkey the day after it arrivedgreat taste. Unfortunately that is the only meal I cooked as my house burned down Dec. 23 and I lost everything including the oven. Hats off to WP

Almost Perfect - Needs a few tweaks.
Bought this oven to cook food faster than my other tabletop oven. Took a chance and used it to cook my 14 pound Christmas turkey in ONE HOUR. It came out perfectly! You must, however, leave out the stuffing so the heat can get inside the bird and cook the turkey from the inside out. (The bird must be thawed out first if it is frozen and don't cover it with tin foil. The top got nicely browned but not burnt). Took 4 days to thaw in the fridge and one hour to cook in the Wolfgang oven. Hard to believe but true. This means you will need to mix the turkey juice with the stuffing breadcrumbs and bake it separately after the turkey is cooked but that's not a big deal as the stuffing cooks quickly and the turkey should be allowed to rest before slicing anyway.Have been very satisfied with the performance of this oven... except for a few points:1. The temperature adjustment knob moves very freely so be careful not to brush against it once it has been set (and yes, there is definitely a difference between 350 and 450 degrees - the knob is not just for show).2. The rack is not strong enough to hold a 14 pound turkey (it flexes and falls out of the slot). You can turn the rack upside down to hold heavier food but then it makes the tray sit too high. In order to cook our 14 pound turkey we had to turn the rack upside down and set it right on the heating element brackets at the bottom of the oven.3. The rotisserie stopped turning the first time we used it. Called the Wolfgang Puck support line number printed on the included manual. They were very helpful and said they would gladly pay for me to ship the oven to them to be repaired/replaced for free. Said they would do whatever it takes to keep their customers happy. However, they also mentioned that turning the rotisserie rod manually usually gets it working again. I tried this. It is not easy to turn manually but after pressing it around for a while (firmly) it did start turning again. It stopped a couple times since then but it started working again after some more forceful wiggling. Maybe just needs to be used a few times to loosen up?4. The outside of the oven gets extremely hot but I guess this is to be expected with a toaster oven.5. The oven light does not go on when the door is opened unless the heater is on. If the oven timer has ended you will need to turn it back on briefly to turn the light on.6. The exposed heating elements inside the oven make it a bit awkward to clean but I'm not sure how this could be avoided.Almost everything we have cooked comes out pretty much perfectly. Frozen pizza, roast chicken with sweet potatoes, rotisserie pork sirloin and any type of frozen appetizers.A couple pleasant surprises:1. Do not worry about losing pressure by opening the door partway through the cooking process to check the food. The oven re-pressurizes almost instantly once re-sealed.2. You also don't need to worry about fiddling with the pressure release knob thing at the top of the oven to release the pressure. Raising the door seal lever automatically releases the pressure valve so I just raise the arm halfway for about 5 seconds to release the pressure.3. The included trays are actually ceramic and not just cheap tin covered in a non-stick coating. The roasting pan has no problem handling a large bird and is nice and deep to hold all the juice.Overall could use a few design tweaks but am definitely satisfied.

Wolfgang Puck Pressure Cooker/Oven

We cooked a 14 lb. turkey in an hour. Perfectly done - crispy skin and juicy inside. Bake and toast functions work very well. The only quibble I have is the door: when hot, you sometimes have to push the open-door button and pull down on the door to open it.

Well, I bit the bullet and ordered this item. It looked awesome online and the Turkey cooking so quickly is what sold me. I have to be honest for me it did not cook food in a rapid fashion. The food sometimes even took longer than my regular oven. I did not open it and close it. I left it as they suggested. I found that while it did make the food taste pretty good, especially pork chops the steaks were blah and flavorless. I was not happy with the dial that gages the temperature. It is a floating dial and if you brush up against it and not notice it could change the temperature. This happened 3 times, set it for 400 and when it was not cooked when it said I noticed it was only at 150. That is not the reason that food did not cook rapidly though. I cannot imagine a Turkey cooking in 55-60 min! No way! Sorry to say but I am packing it up and sending it back. :(
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
works well except for rotisserie
I delayed making my review until we gave the oven a good opportunity to show its stuff.It did take us some time to get used to how to cook things, but we are really enjoying it. One of our main staples for dinner is chicken breasts and the oven, in roast and pressure functions, cooks them quickly and keeps them juicy.We have cooked a turkey(12 lbs not stuffed) just for fun and it turned out great and really only took the 60 minutes, so now that can be a week day meal for us.Tried the rotisserie twice and had the same issue both times - stopped turning about 15 minutes in to the cooking and we had to finish the chicken on roast function. Looks like the chicken has to be teeny tiny to use rotisserie - would not work for us to feed the family.We do toast in the oven daily and it turns out perfectly.Unfortunately the oven does not replace our microwave like we were hoping ... still need to keep that around.
It's a winner
I waited with this review until I put this oven to the test. On Christmas we roasted a 12lbs turkey and it performed as advertised. We did keep an eye on it just to be sure. After about 40 min. we did have to open the oven and cover the top with some foil, it started to 'burn' a little (we will know the next time). The turkey was very juicy. I am giving it a four star because of the racks. They are a little flimsy to say the least. It would not hold the turkey up and so we had to improvise. Also I would like to have two racks for everyday use. But yes, I would recommend it
Disappointed-Almost Ruined Christmas

13 lb turkey took 2 hrs to cook. Middle was still pink - by time it was cooked, it was dry. Good thing I gave myself lots of time. Timer stopped working. I cooked chicken before in it and great results. Baked once but 1/2 was perfect and the other 1/2 overbaked. I have to keep it as past return date but I love the concept and hopefully WP will get a new and improved version.

I used this oven once, made stew, luckily I put half of the stew on the stove to cook and half in this oven. I followed the instructions to the letter and cooked it at the time alloted. My stew that I cooked on the stove was done before the stew I cooked in the oven. I found the oven racks to be flimsy, I don't know how they could possibly hold a 14 pound turkey.
