We got the press hoping it would be easy and fun...not!We followed the recipe from the book and did the steps to set it up.My wife tried to get it to work right but was having problems with it. So I took over...she reloaded it and away I went...well I thought I was on my way.I found it hard to press out the cookie dough. It looked pretty easy on T.V???From when I saw the cookie dough coming out it took more then 6 plus times to finally started to produce some cookies....funny it only took 3 times on T.V???After awhile my wrist was getting sore and I started to get blisters on my fingers from the trigger. So to tell you I was not impressed!!! I hope the cake decoration attachments work better. That's about it. :(
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

You need strong hands
from Winnipeg (Manitoba)
You need strong hands to operate this. Unfortunately I don't have strong hands, plus I have arthritis in some of my joints, which makes operating this cookie press difficult.Unfortunately I didn't get around to using it within the 30 days, so now it's too late to return it.The press comes with several interchangable disks which is nice. So based on that, I would recommend this to people. However, be forwarned that if you don't have strong hands or have pain in your joints, this cookie press isn't for you.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Red Green Solution
from Northern Alberta
I will update my review. The cookie press would not come apart and the cylinder was so slippery we could not grip it to unscrew the top ring, it would just turn in one's hands. We did not want to damage the cylinder with a wrench, so what to do! We used a Red Green idea. We wrapped duct tape around the cylinder of the cookie press to get a firm grip then my husband was able to twist open the ring after which I was then able to put the ring on and then remove it again. Problem solved, I hope. I will now try it out and press some cookies! Hope it works better than some customers say.

I am very disappointed in Wolfgang. I ordered 2 Cookie Presses, one for myself and one for my daughter. The one for my daughter was going to Bermuda with a friend so was hopeful that it was ok... unfortunately it was not. Both of us could not get the top off. Even my boyfriend couldn't budge the top. Both were sent back and I received another one but it also did not work. I said one more time and finally received one that worked. I would have thought better of Wolfgang's products.

This makes pretty cookies but if you have trouble with your hands as I do you will not be able to use it without alot of pain. I gave it away.

Will not come apart!
I wanted to use this cookie press sooner but? I could not take off the top ring when I went to wash it before using. My husband could not unscrew the ring. It has to come apart or one will get bacteria into the cylinder from cookie dough that has pushed back up behind the plastic disc. I have an old cookie press with a plunger that you push which takes a lot of energy to use but both top and bottom rings unscrew for cleaning. HELP!!!!
I found it hard to use. Was rather disappointed it wasn't as user friendly as shown on TV. I returned it.
Good product but hard to use
The reason I gave this four stars is that I have arthritis and found my hands hurt after a bit, that being said my grand daughter and I did have fun making different shaped cookies which by the way we used the enclosed recipe great taste.
It is hard to operate,
from laval, quebec
It is difficult to operate, and is hard on the hands, It does not show which way the cookie shapes should be put in. Only 2 work well. I have had others, basically worked the same. I guess they still have a lot of work to do to perfect these things. They all do not work properly. I would not recommend this to people or any other one for that matter. It is better to use the individual shapes, a lot less trouble. It took me more time to use this, than pressing out the shapes with the different pieces one can buy.
easy to use
from Keremeos, B.C.
I've already used this a few times and have had no problems other than making sure the consistency of icing/dough is right to properly pass through the press or tube.
