Help! I can't sign in


I have not shopped online at TSC in a while and my password is not working.

I used Password Recovery but I have not received the email with my new password.

The password I got from Password Recovery does not work.



I have not shopped online at TSC in a while and my password is not working.
- We have improved our account sign-in and passwords must now be 6 characters and include at least 1 number. If your password does not meet these criteria, please complete the password recovery process to have a new password emailed to you.
- To complete this process you will be prompted for your e-mail address and the answer to your "hint question" in order for us to confirm your identity.
- If you don't have a "hint question" set up, you will be prompted to confirm your phone number, please enter it without any dashes, spaces or brackets ie: 4165551234
- If you have more than one phone number listed with us, please ensure that you reference the primary contact number associated with your TSC account (usually your day time number).


I used Password Recovery but I have not received the email with my new password.
- A common reason for not receiving the expected email is because internet service providers or anti-spam software may block the email. This is done to protect you from unwanted email (spam). To ensure that TSC service emails make it to your inbox, please add "customerservice@theshoppingchannel.com" to your safe e-mail address list. If you are worried that your password recovery email is being blocked please check your email spam filter or junk mail folder to retrieve, or contact your internet service provider.

- Another common issue occurs when the password recovery is used more than once in a short time frame. This scenario generally occurs in the event that the first Password Recovery email was not received as quickly as anticipated. Usually emails are fairly quick in being delivered by Internet Service Providers but congestion does occur and delivery could just be slow. Please be patient and only complete the Password Recovery process once. Completing the Password Recovery process a second or third time within a short time frame will update your TSC password a second or third time as well (generates a new password each time). When you do receive the email from the first Password Recovery submission, it will be out of date and no longer work. Waiting for the last Password Recovery submission to make it to your email inbox will be required before being able to sign in.

Please be patient when waiting for the email with your password. Usually, emails are fairly quick in being delivered by internet service providers but congestion does occur and delivery could just be slow.

If you have not received your password within 24 hours and the email is not in your junk mail folder, then please contact at 1-888-2020-888 or via e-mail.


The password I got from Password Recovery does not work.
- When you receive the email with your new password, copy and paste the password into the sign-in page password field to ensure accuracy. Copy the password only; any extra spaces after the password may cause it not to work.

Another common issue occurs when the Password Recovery is used more than one in a short time frame. This generally happens when the password email is not received as quickly as anticipated. Completing the Password Recovery process multiple times within a short time frame will generate a new password for each time the Password Recover is used. When you do receive the email from the first Password Recovery request, it will be out of date and no longer work. You would then have to wait for the final Password recover submission to make it to your email box before being able to sign in.


The password I got from Password Recovery STILL does not work!
- It may not be your password that is giving you trouble. Check you email address to make sure it is being typed in correctly (Common errors include typing in .com instead of a .ca extension. I.E. janesmith@cogeco.com instead of janesmith@cogeco.ca.

- Are you using the same email address you originally set up your TSC account with? Do you have another email address or have you changed your email address recently. Try signing in with an older email address. If it works and you get into your account, be sure to update to your new email address for next time.

- If you are typing a password from Password Recovery, be sure that the letter “I” and the number “1” are not being confused. This is also a common problem with the letter “O” and the number “0”. We recommend, copying and pasting the password from the email to the sign-in password field as this is the best way to ensure accuracy.

How to Copy and Paste your password:
To copy text from your e-mail, use your mouse to bring the cursor to the beginning of the password in the e-mail. Highlight the password by holding down the left click button of your mouse and dragging the mouse across the password (left to right). When you come to the end of the password, stop and let go of the mouse. Bring the mouse over the highlighted text and click on the right button your mouse to open a small menu. Using the mouse, left click on “copy” in the menu and then go to the
sign-in web page. Enter your e-mail address in the e-mail field and then right click your mouse in the password field. This will open a small menu. In the menu, left click on “paste”. This will paste your password into the password field (for security reasons, your password will be displayed as dots). Click on submit to access your account.
