Ordering via SUSAN (Automated Ordering System)

Ordering with SUSAN is fast and easy! This voice recognition system will walk you through each step. Call Susan at 1-888-2020-888.

Important tips before you start:
- Susan will understand most words spoken at a normal speaking pace. Please do not speed up or slow down as this may cause Susan to misunderstand.
- Give Susan only the information she requests. Please avoid adding extra words like “my Visa number is …” or “I would like item ….” .
- Entering numbers using the touch-tone keypad on your phone may facilitate the ordering process.
- Susan will only ship to the address that is on your file; if you need to ship the item to an alternate address, please place your order through a Customer Care Representative or online at www.theshoppingchannel.com.
- If at anytime you need to speak to a Customer Care Representative, simply say “Representative”.

Step 1 - Identification
Susan accesses your account by your phone number. The number is the phone number that you provided to us when your account was set up.
- If Susan recognizes the phone number you are calling from, she will ask if the phone number is correct. If the number is correct say “yes”.
- Susan may ask for your phone number. You can give her your number by saying your phone number with area code (ie: 416-555-1234) or entering your phone number with area code using the touch tone keypad.
- Susan will say your postal code. If the postal code is correct, say “yes”.

Step 2 - Ordering
Once Susan has accessed your account, you can begin to place your order.- Susan will ask you for the item that you want to order. To order your item say the item number or enter the item number using your touch-tone keypad on your phone.
- If you want the Today's Showstopper, say “Showstopper”

Once Susan identifies the item in our system, she will then give you the description and price of the item:
- If the item and price is correct, say “yes” - If the item and/or price is incorrect, say “no” and Susan will prompt you to re-enter the item number

Susan will ask you how many of the item you would like. Say the quantity. Note: Individual item numbers cannot be purchased in multiples over 5.
- If the item that you selected has a choice of style, size or colour, Susan will prompt accordingly. Simply say your choice. (ie: small). You can also say “List My Choices” and Susan will let you know what is available.
- If you want to add to your order, Susan will prompt you for the next item number. If you are finished, say “I’m done”.

If Easy Pay is available, Susan will ask you if you would like the order on easy pay. Say “yes” or “no”.

Step 3 - Payment
Once you have finished shopping, you can provide your payment information.
Susan will ask you for your credit card number. You can:
- Say your credit card number. You do not need to specify the type (ie: Visa)
- Enter your credit card number by using the keypad of your touch-tone phone
Susan will ask you for your expiry date. You can:- Say the month and year ie: “January 2007” or “0107”
- Enter the expiry date using the keypad of your touch-tone phone

Step 4 – Shipping
To complete your order, Susan will ask you to choose the shipping method.
- Say “Canada Post” if you would like to use Canada Post
-Say “Courier" if you would like to use UPS
- If you choose courier, Susan will ask if you would like to use Courier Ground or Courier Air
- Susan will give you the total of the order, including shipping and handling and applicable tax before processing the order.

To recap the items that you ordered, say “recap my order” and Susan will list all items that you ordered. - Susan will give you the order number as confirmation that the order has been placed. Do not disconnect before getting the order confirmation number. If you do, your order will not be processed.- If your e-mail address is on file, you will receive an e-mail confirming that your order has been placed. A second E-mail will be sent once the order has been shipped.
