The Shopping Channel, Canada’s only nationally broadcast multi-channel retailer, is hosting an
Open-House Day, Friday, May 30th at our offices in Mississauga.
Do you want to become a part of this sophisticated interactive marketing and retailing vehicle that reaches into Millions of Canadian homes each and every day? Do you have a product that will surprise and delight our customers? This could be your big break!
Our open house day begins at 1pm and ends at 4pm, first come - first served. There will be a sign-up sheet at the front reception available from 11am to 1:30pm. If you are granted a meeting, you will be seen by a member of The Shopping Channel buying team for no more than 20 minutes. A maximum of two representatives may attend the meeting.
Your product must be in the final production stage or you will not get an appointment. You must bring sample, contents/ingredients, and all other pertinent information that will help us evaluate your product and our opportunity. The Shopping Channel is Canada's national televised shop-from-home service, reaching into over 7 million households across Canada. We broadcast and receive orders through our Customer Care Centre 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! In addition to on-air programming, The Shopping Channel drives business from other avenues. TheShoppingChannel.com features over 15,000 products, including our complete on-air product assortment as well as thousands of web site exclusive products and services. Our website sees approximately 500,000 unique visitors each month, and accounts for almost 25% or The Shopping Channel sales.
We communicate to our customers and acquire new customers via a marketing mix of direct mail (post-card/show notifications, merchandise catalogues), radio, television, magazine/print, email and online (Google search engine marketing).
Consumers in the Greater Toronto Area can shop us locally in Toronto at our Off-Air Outlet Store (15,000 square feet).
Finally, The Shopping Channel Direct, our full service national distribution/wholesale division, can take your product through multiple retail channels, such as drug, mass, grocery, hardware, club stores and independents. The Shopping Channel Direct provides vendors with direct response, marketing, traditional media planning and buying, warehousing, and customer care for their products!
Who are our customers?The Shopping Channel reaches over 7 million households in English Canada and is actively watched by almost 2 million viewers weekly. Our viewing audience is approximately 50% male and 50% female, with predominantly female customers. Our customers range in age from 25 to 55+ and live in urban/suburban households. They are also very well-informed and savvy, and they know what they want. They will often do research and price comparisons before making a purchase.
