With a musical theatre background and thorough training in evacuation and emergency procedures learned while performing for the troops during the Gulf War, Renee is uniquely qualified to handle just about anything The Shopping Channel can throw her way!

Full of energy and laughter, Renee has been singing and dancing her way into the hearts of audiences since her first job at Canada 's Wonderland just north of Toronto where she was part of the cast of their "Best of Broadway" production. "Most of the performers would fill in their off time waiting tables," laughs Renee, "but I thought it would be more fun to be an MC at Toronto's first karaoke bar!"

Renee continued in musical theatre performing in such celebrated productions as Beauty and the Beast and Anne of Green Gables where she briefly played the role of Diana Barry during the Charlottetown Festival.

Before landing at The Shopping Channel, Renee traveled the world touring in Japan with Anne of Green Gables and then performing in Israel , Egypt and Cyprus during the Gulf War. "It was all very exciting performing for the troops," says Renee,"and luckily I was too young and naive to really appreciate the danger I was putting myself in."

Back safe and sound in Canada, Renee settled down into domestic life as the mother to three lovely daughters. With her live theatre background and infectious personality, Renee was a natural for The Shopping Channel. "I began as a guest on Outdoor and Seasonal shows as well as on the Heaven Fresh Ionic Air Purifiers shows," says Renee. "When I heard there was an opening for a host I auditioned and here I am!"

Renee is a backstage favourite with the other hosts and crew at The Shopping Channel with her love of sweets and propensity to make jams and bake pies. Oh, and if anyone in the building should happen to find themselves going into labour, Renee is also a certified Doula and has successfully delivered almost 20 neighbourhood babies.
