Our resident night owl and lover of the great outdoors, Charlotte , enjoys kicking back at home in her comfy Birkenstocks™, no make-up and a casual ponytail.

With Spanish and Danish roots, Charlotte has an exotic look that keeps people guessing as to her origins. “A lot of people think I’m European,” says Charlotte , “but I’m really just a home-grown, Canadian girl.” True to her Canadian upbringing, Charlotte and her husband enjoy an active lifestyle and spend as much time as possible outside hiking, mountain biking and skiing. When they’re not outside, they can be found spoiling their Jack Russell Terrier, Max, who has been taught to do some pretty amusing tricks. “Max lives like royalty,” laughs Charlotte , “but he does earn his keep. Whenever anyone sneezes, Max immediately runs to fetch a tissue!”

Charlotte always had dreams of being a dancer. After studying dance while growing up and then more formally at Ryerson in Toronto , Charlotte taught ballet to young children for years. “Dancing is just in my blood,” says Charlotte who once auditioned for CATS and still enjoys watching dance every chance she gets. “I never really thought about modelling but ended up being introduced to it through a friend of my mother who owned a top modelling agency in Toronto .”

It was through that agency that Charlotte was introduced to The Shopping Channel. “I was at The Shopping Channel for just a short time initially,” Charlotte explains, “and then I left for a couple of years before returning in 1997.” During her “hiatus” from us, Charlotte moved to Thailand where she and her husband were married. “We lived in Thailand for two months after we were married,” says Charlotte , “but in the end we were both too homesick and missed our families.”

When Charlotte returned to Canada in 1997, we were only too happy to have her back. “It’s been great, I just love being here. The other girls are great, the guests are really interesting and the late night, early morning hours actually suit my lifestyle perfectly. And I don’t even mind that people often think I’m Kellie,” she laughs.
