These models feature a 24 mm wide-angle f/2.5 LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMARIT lens, a 5x optical zoom 24-120 mm (35 mm equivalent) in a slim, compact body. The lens unit comprises 6 elements in 5 groups, including 3 aspherical lenses to achieve high optical performance while maintaining compactness. The lens combines high brightness and minimal distortion to capture 24 mm wide-angle photos with outstanding, corner-to-corner detail.
Venus Engine
The imaging power of LUMIX has evolved even further with the VENUS engine. Improved circuitry greatly reduces picture noise while preserving exceptional resolution, sharpness and colour reproduction. The VENUS Engine also incorporates a circuit that makes intelligent resolution technology possible.
