Kitty Song Floral Cotton Scarf

I gave this scarf as a Christmas gift to my son's girlfriend. It came in a sealed package so I didn't take it out prior to wrapping it. This was probably a mistake. The bottom edges are uneven, unfinished and not attached to the rest of the scarf. One example of this is as shown in the one picture with one tail of lace hanging loose. As well the sheer material was not sewn to the bottom of the scarf tail and was unevenly cut on both sides (one edge of sheering material was below the rest of the scarf material and the other side was cut two inches above the bottom). Maybe this was the way it was to look but it appeared untidy and unfinished. I ended up cutting, trimming and re-sewing the bottom edges of the scarf.
