1967 Proof Set:
As Canada celebrated its 100th anniversary of Confederation in 1967, the Royal Canadian Mint issued the first proof or specimen quality coin sets widely available to the Canadian public. All of these coins featured the wildlife designs created by artist and sculptor Alex Colville. This collection includes all of these proof coins from the cent to the silver dollar in the original black leather case of issue, together with a 1992 'double dated' loon dollar. The case housing the collection is also an easel stand to display the coins.
