Morgen Schick Hi-Def 6 Piece Kit

I was a user years ago, but when Morgen stopped coming to TSC i stopped using. Sadly i only liked the concealer/powder in this kit, but i don't need 2 colours, wished i could just get the one shade i need because i don't have a need to 'blend'. The lipstain really didn't have lasting power and even with the gloss on it was a harsh colour, the remodeler was thrown out because it was grainy to apply & looked muddy on me, and the lip shine looked too frosted and felt sticky. But i got a great concealer again.

I have tried many different makeup lines at TSC. I was feeling leary about ordering Morgan Shick's, but I thought "don't knock it until you try it"!
This makeup when applied lightly only to areas you feel needs coverage is superb!
My daughter paid me a huge compliment without knowing why...I had just applied the makeup and my daughter's comment was "whatever you did today, you look "15 years younger"!! I will happily take that compliment and run with it...thanks, Morgan. The purple lip stain was way off for me too. I'd like to know where are you supposed to wear something like that...maybe Halloween? Aside from that I think it's 4 stars.

I didn't expect much going into this, I had never tried Morgen Cosmetics and was definitely skeptical. The concealers are high coverage and you only need the tiniest bit. I really like the finish of them for under the eyes but they can't be used on blemishes or other small imperfections. The powder is nice and it is indeed brightening without glaring shimmer or sparkle. The lip duo is ridiculous, who in the world can wear purple lip stain? The pink side is an okay colour but glittery. The lipgloss tube is awkward and again, glittery. Concealer brush is good and I do enjoy the cream bronzer! They are hard to find so I'm glad I found this one - its a good colour not too orange. Overall, most of the products are good but there are some duds.

I fond the concealer thick and hard to work into the skin. The powder is ok, but nothing special. Lipgloss pink side is ok, but purple is awful. IT looks like I drank grape juice and stained my mouth. The Remodeler was greasy and orange. Nothing special. Could use a darker concealer to do the same job. Very diappointed.

I had enjoyed Morgan's products in the past, and her (then) new approach to makeup application, and was looking forward to her return. However, we've had the opportunity to try new and excellent lines, and hers now seem somewhat dated/ordinary.

Concealers - creamy, the fair suited my very fair complexion, effectively concealed darker spots in the eye area BUT after several hours of wear it created spider-like lines in the inner corners of my eyes. (Will stick with IT or Bella Pierre concealers, both excellent).

Powder - Just OK, prefer IT or SKINN powder.

Schick Stick - Bad colour for me - purple/pink

Bronzer - OK for highlighting bone structure I guess, but quite drying

Lip Shine - tastes/smells terrible, perhaps I got a bad one.

Concealer Brush - Too big for eye area

I've returned the kit.

I was really pleased with the quality of all the products in this kit. I purchased her previous kit, and many of the products were dried out or just satisfactory. However, this kit is amazing!!! The coverage of the makeup is heavy and covers my acne marks. This means that you should only apply this makeup to the areas that need to be covered and not all over the face.

I also love the lip stain and the luxe lip gloss. They are such beautiful shades. The lip stain lasts all day long and is not as drying as some of the other lip stains out there.

Overall, I love the quality of the products and am relieved that they arrived as shown on TV, because I hate sending things back.

I've been shopping for the best coverage without looking like a porcelain doll or worse, a mannequin. Morgen's New Concealing System is better than the earlier set and love her sculpting/bronzer compact. The system fully covers just the area you want and the bronzer makes your face look a bit tanned without the orange or reddish look. The concealer will last a loooong time! You use just a tiny bit on the area. You do have to use the powder to keep it matt and last all day. LUV THESE NEW PRODUCTS ;-)
