Mythology
Demeter is a goddess of the earth, with dominion over the fruits and riches of the fields — especially of corn. She presides over the harvest and the labour that attends to it. Her symbol is an ear of corn and her temples were called Megara.
Demeter is also a mother figure and is shown as being devoted to her daughter Persephone. She is not obsessive but devoted to motherhood. When Persephone was abducted by Hades, she stopped the cycle of the seasons so that no plant would grow until the other Olympians were able to persuade Hades to return her daughter.

Mr. Nino Tagliamonte, along with two Venetian artists, successfully experimented with original Roman blending, processing and casting methods to develop a formula allowing them to create Venetian Cameo gems identical to the antique originals. Available in a variety of colours and set with 14K and 18K gold, the gems are hand wrought with incandescent glass, and the exact colour is established only when cooled.
