very easy to fit: i removed my mattress, encased it in the cover and replaced the mattress on my box spring all in about 10 -15 minutes. so easy, even for very large, oversized, pillow-top mattresses like mine. i, too, wish the zipper was higher quality, but i had no problems with tearing or breakage.

I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the zipper. My husband and I had just put the cover on the mattress and the end of the zipper broke right off. The entire end of the zipper broke and not just the tab, so the entire zipper would have to be replaced. The zipper is still holding the cover closed, but whenever I take the cover off the zipper will not be able to close again. I wish I was able to return the cover to the shopping channel, but I had waited too long to put the cover on the mattress. This was a product that I had wanted and didn't think I was going to have to return it. I agree with the previous comment, that the quality of the fabric is good, unfortunately the zipper is not of the same quality. This could be equated to buying a jacket that you really like but the zipper breaks and it's not worth the expense of repairing the zipper. I would not purchase another cover.

This is an awesome mattress protector, because it is totally encased, there is no worries of it slipping up and off, like the other ones do. Also, it is soft on top and does not have that "crunchy" sound like the ones from the store. I absolutely love it!
