This 1958 silver dollar is in superb choice to gem uncirculated. It commemorates the centenary of the Cariboo Gold Rush and the establishment of British Columbia as a crown colony. The design shows the mountains in the background with a totem in the foreground.
The top element on the totem features a raven, an animal used by some indigenous people to symbolize death. It is rumored that because of the raven they disliked the silver dollar attaching the term "death dollar" to them.
