Great for ironing sleeves and pants
from Kitchener, Ontario
I enjoy using the product for shirts and pants. It takes some gettting used to if you have always used a full size ironing board. Don't get rid of your full size board - I still use it.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I received this as a gift and it is not practical at all!As already mentioned in some reviews, this is not quiet what it seems to be:The whole thing is too short, the fold out arm leaves a crease in everything and to top it off, the cover does not even fit very well were the fold out arm and the rest of the board meet.Regretfully, as it was a gift, I am stuck with it.Luckily, my old ironing board still works!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

My head split at first....
By Reasonably happy husband
from Ottawa, ON
My husband does the ironing in our house and he likes it because it's strong and sturdy. He said at first he found it hard to use, but now that he's used it, he finds it easier to use. He does pants, shirts, and some of my clothes. He wishes it was a little longer and that the split parts were a bit less in width, for most sleeves he finds it hard to use.
Not at all what I expected.
This ironing board is not what I expected. The cover absorbs the moisture from the steam iron and the split in the board leaves marks or creases in any item other than a sleeve. The whole board is unusually heavy for its size and strange to open up. I agree with other reviewers that it is not useful for ironing any items other than men's shirts. I tried ironing a square tablecloth and found it to be extremely challenging because the length of the board is short, the tablecloth hung over the edge, leaving my tablecloth wrinkled as if I hadn't ironed at all. Perhaps because I am left handed, I found that the cord of my iron kept catching on the ironing board where the metal and arms joined. Very frustrating indeed.
I bought this as a gift for my daughter. She does a lot of design and sewing. She was not impressed with trying to iron fabric...it leaves a huge crease in the material and the ironing board is not long enough. She does love it for shirts, especially the sleeves and collars, and for other smaller projects. She loves it for her smaller projects but for the price of the board not really sure if she would recommend for the average person.
Ironing clothing is much faster with this board. I love that it is smaller, the shape works better for shirts and pants than my old board. The split arms are a little wide for small childrens clothing, but then no other board would work for that at all. The board is very stable and I like the open/closing mechanism. It took me a little to get used to is but now it's very simple to adjust.
Great concept - needs 2 ft added to arms
The ironing board is far too short. Great for men's shirt sleeves and collars and also for ironing shorts.I tried pressing the outside seams on a pair a pants and it was far too awkward as the board is too short. I had to first do the top of the leg seam and then turn the pants around and do the bottom. I was only able to do middle by scrunching all the material up. The arms are a little too wide for women's pants.

This board is not what you see or, saw on the televised add. Nor did they mention how heavy it is.I'm completely, 110% disappointed! The board is far too short for practicality. The height adjustment mechanism is ridiculously manual; plus you need to turn the board over to use it! The fold out arm is so wide it's unless for any women's blouses. The fold out arm would also leave a crease in any clothing item pressed. One could never iron a long dress or skirt lengthwise. Nor a pair of pants. Bottom line…Perhaps they should have named this, the men's board. From my perspective, its sole use might be - men's shirts.
