This 1954 silver dollar is in superb choice to gem uncirculated condition with original toning, making it one of the highest quality examples to have survived from this issue. 1954 was the second lowest mintage of Queen Elizabeth II silver dollars.
The classic reverse design depicts a native Canadian and a Voyageur fur trader travelling in a canoe past a small island with windswept trees. The vertical lines in the background represent the northern lights. The obverse features the original first tiara portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
This silver dollar comes protected in a professional hard acrylic display holder.
