This coin is arguably the most striking and beautiful of the Royal Canadian Mint's wildflower series. The coin weighs just over one full ounce struck in pure silver. It features two full colour Pacific Rhododendron blooms and a third blossom just beginning to open. Three Swarovski crystal "dew drops" nestle among the coloured petals and leaves.
This coin was just released by the Royal Canadian Mint and is now on the verge of being completely sold out (about 95% sold as of October 15, 2012).

The Pacific Rhododendron has large bell shaped "showy" flowers, usually rose-purple in colour. It name is from Ancient Greek rhodon "rose" and dendron "tree".
