The birds of Canada coins have been one of the most popular series ever produced by the Royal Canadian Mint, with two coins issued each year since 2007. This coin is the newest release, the Evening Grosbeak, which sold out almost immediately from the Royal Canadian Mint after its release at the end of 2012. Most of the earlier issues in this series also sold out quickly, and have appreciated in the secondary market. Some of the earlier issues now sell for more than $300 per coin.

The Evening Grosbeak features a golden-plumed male perched on a sumac bough.

Great Addition to your collection

By SHARON

from KIMBERLEY

I'm thrilled I got this coin long before it hit the secondary market as all the other coins from this set have skyrocketed in value over the years. The colours and attention to detail are amazing. I really wish I'd started collecting this set when they issued the first 2 Birds Of Canada coins in 2007. But even now it's not too late to start. Would recommend this coin for the serious collector right to a lovely gift for any age.

I would highly recommend them

I have ordered most of the coins in this series and each time I receive one it is more beautiful than the last. The colours and detail are right on. I would highly recommend the series to get Grandchildren interested in watching for the birds.
