Barr + Barr Satchel with Side Pockets

This bag is really light in weight and the side pockets are a nice touch!
The opening is really wide and you can get alot of things in this bag!
The leather in the Barr bags is barr none! HA!
The thickest and the most luxurious leather!
I have 2 of Helen's bags and I love them!!
The taupe color is ok, but the thing about this bag is the handles-they are so comfortable for the hands to hold, but they are not long enough to really put through your arm and that was not comfortable for me-so had to return it.

I ordered this in black cherry. Outside, the bag is lovely -- soft, supple leather, good stitching detail, well done trim. Inside, however, attention to detail was sadly lacking. The zipper pull on the inside pocket was not placed properly, sort of stuck in the middle. I had to play with it a bit to get it to work right. The 5 media pockets are poorly sewn, very uneven and with gaps in some spots along the bottom. Also, the pockets are of uneven sizes that are all too small to fit my small smartphone easily. There was one pocket into which I could just barely squeeze my phone, but it is hard to get it out.

All that said, the outer looks of the bag are just what I wanted and I can't find this colour and style anywhere else. So, I will be keeping the bag, but I don't think I'll bother shopping this brand again.

I ordered this bag in the black cherry color which is very much like a dark oxblood shade which is a great fall/winter color. The leather is supple and soft with great craftsmanship on the stitching that reinforces the bag along with the padded handles and is done in great style. Due to the width of this bag, there is ample room for all of my needed contents and very easy to find them. The size of this bag is just right, not overly big and it sits on the body beautifully.The lining is very durable and quite lovely. The same material is in the ever so handy end pockets as is the dust bag. Very impressive. The attention to detail on this bag is very high end,but not the price. Simple, classic, and functional. That is all one needs. Highly recommend this bag. You will love it! I will definitely be shopping for more Barr + Barr bags.
