Naya Teak Lace Up Shoe

These shoes are so well made, inside & out, like the most expensive Itallian. The leather is like the finest leather glove. The syle is traditional yet updated for today's fashion & comfort....they are well worth the price. Unfortunately, I have to return them...the edging seam, at the top of the heel was not glued down & it rolls when I put the shoe on; so I feel an irritation in the heel. I love the lace-up which contributes to a perfect fit. However, they are a tiny bit narrow in the toe for me; but would probably be OK with a little wear as the leather is so supple....I'm sure they would mould to my foot. Naya needs to improve quality inspection, inside & out, before packaging. BTW I have never had shoes that come in a dust bag. These are the highest quality shoes, in my price range, that I have seen in over 20 years. I would keep them if it were not for the seam in the heel. Beautiful, luxurious & comfortable.

Based on my two pairs of Naya shoes, I'm now a fan. This pair, like the other pair I bought last year, has very soft leather on the inside which makes the shoe very comfortable to wear and helps it conform to the foot. I bought my usual size 8.5. These are obviously low-heeled and I can see them looking great with skinny pants. I wear them with knee-length or midi skirts and black or colourful tights and I think they look fab. If you are considering this shoe, just note that (1) the laces are not exactly the colour of the leather. I bought these in black and the laces are grey which is fine but you should just understand that. And (2), note that the holes for the laces are not reinforced with a metal grommet. I hope the leather is not going to stretch out over time and that's why I'm giving these 4 stars. But still, overall, I do love these shoes and lately, I won't buy any shoe that doesn't look great AND feel comfortable. These deliver.
