Manitobah Mukluks Traveller Suede Moccasin

I bought a pair of these for my older son who usually wears a size 10.5 or 11 men's shoe. I bought the 10 and they fit perfectly so far. Both my sons has a rare neurological and muscular genetic disorder called that is progressive called HSP( Hereditary Spastic Paraparesis ). It causes weakness and pain in the legs and back and eventually will cause them to be too weak to walk on their own. There is no cure, and the progression is different with everyone. Their paternal grandfather was able to walk until he was in his 70s. Others loose the ability much younger. My older son Jeremy I think will be fine until he is in his older years where my younger son is already limited as to how much he can stand and walk. Both boys also have Aspergers, so they are very affected by sound, feel, and light. I bought the first pair of moccasins for Jeremy and he loved them and Jared loved them. So I bought another pair for Jared, They are foot comfortable for the first time in their lives. Orthodics, try to shape the foot but the fur in the moccasins shape to the foot and provide support tot he foot and better balance. Jared has the tall black boots that I bought him for Christmas. He walks in both barefoot. Jeremy walks in his moccasins barefoot too. These are a Godsend for them. I hope TSC gets in more styles and are able to make them even more affordable. I am so happy I bought them words can't express.

Mixed feelings on these moccasins. The fit is oversize so if you usually wear a size 10 you most likely are 8 or 9. They fit wide which is ok in a slipper. The fur falls out and I leave a trail of fur anywhere I walk. The fit....its the fit....its just wrong. There is no "side" left or right. They point out when you walk and if you switch sides they do not feel comfortable on the feet. Not a product I will purchase again. The idea is so good but the quality is just so wrong.
