Joan Rivers Cheetah Bee Pin

Many years ago I heard the story of the bumblebee and how it's a symbol for doing what seems impossible and since then I've been collecting bee pins. This is my first one from Joan. I've liked many of Joan's bee pins throughout the years but find them all quite pricey (especially compared to what else you can find on-line) so I was waiting for that one bee I simply couldn't resist that would somewhat justify the purchase price. This cheetah bee (in brown) was it - and the Dazzling Deal offer helped me make my decision.

It certainly is a beautiful pin... very well made with great attention to detail, including the crystals and the painted enamel.

And it's a substantial pin... doesn't feel flimsy or look cheap. It would probably "bee" a bit too heavy for a blouse but it's perfect for a jacket.

Elegant and tasteful, yet simultaneously on the "wild" side (just like Joan, come to think of it...). A real conversation piece and a spectacular addition to my bee-stiary!

This one is my second bee that I've bought from TSC. I get lots of queries about it and when I explain Joan's philosophy about the bee, my friends appreciate it even more. Wish more bee designs would become available at TSC, I'd buy a few new ones for sure.

I have a few of Joan's bee pins. This is my fave so far....I like the print on this, I got it in brown. It's just the right size, I thought it would be bigger but I am glad it's not. It will go great on a coat or sweater this fall or any season. I love the story behind her bees too and relate very well to it.
